Meet Our Team
I bring over 25 years of business experience focused on operational excellence, in the areas of food and functional food ingredient development and manufacturing, as well as wholesale and eCommerce sales. I utilize a servant leadership approach to build highly effective teams, handle complex situations, and set a strategic vision. As a purpose-driven leader, I am excited about the opportunity we have at GW Nutrition to increase the availability of new and easily incorporated alternative proteins in the market. When I am not working, you will find me enjoying time on or near the water with friends and family.
Director of R&D
I have a Ph.D. in microbiology and have worked in R&D for 23 years with a focus on human and animal health and nutrition. I have over 10 years of leadership experience and enjoy mentoring young scientists to excel in product development and reach their career goals. I am excited to be part of the entrepreneurial team at GW Nutrition, and to help create sustainable ingredients that reduce the environmental impact of food production. Outside of work, I enjoy strategy games and puzzles, reading about new scientific discoveries, and spending time with family and friends.
I recently graduated from Iowa State University with a B.A. in marketing. I completed internships with two companies as a student, gaining valuable business experience before joining GW Nutrition in June 2022. With a passion for sustainability and understanding its role in food production, I am excited to be part of the team at GW Nutrition and to continue learning about the alternative protein market. When I am not at work, you can find me spending time with my friends and family and my dog Mylo.
After I received my bachelor’s in microbiology in May 2020 from Iowa State University, I gained experience in a variety of industries from agriculture to animal health. Working with GW Nutrition I was able to find my passion for being a part of a small business and a strong sense of community and drive. When I am not at work you can find me spending time with my family, playing cards, and chatting around a fire.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2020, with a double major in Mathematics and Finance. After graduation, I spent almost 3 years working in operations at 4ocean Public Benefit Corporation assisting with everything backhouse. I’m excited for the opportunity to grow and hone my skillset with GW Nutrition, while supporting the team from behind the scenes. Working for a company that makes a difference in the world is very rewarding. I hope that through advancements in our technology, we can help provide more sustainable protein options to areas of need around the world. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, watching sports, and getting together for board games with friends and family.
I recently graduated from Iowa State University with a B.A. in Chemical Engineering. My work experience includes two co-ops: one with Ajinomoto in Eddyville, IA and the other with Merck in Elkton, VA. At both plants, I worked in the technical operations sections, gaining valuable experience in the production of various products. I wanted my work to have purpose. At GW Nutrition, I am eager to use my skills and knowledge of food production to help further our technology for a better, healthier future. When I am not at work, I spend most of my time reading, training in martial arts, and spending time with family and friends.
